The Cadbury Easter Picnic and Egg hunt has been raising money for the Royal Children’s hospital Good Friday Appeal for 19 years and to date they have raised over $1.2 million.
Willett were proud to return to the grounds of Werribee Park to manage this iconic event, helping Cadbury raise funds for this incredible charity.
Tasked with bringing a fresh vision to the day Willett managed all aspects of this 7,000 pax strong event, including, event design, ticketing, entertainment, comms, signage, website, stage, amenities, logistics and over 200 volunteers and staff. The day included Cadbury Easter egg hunts, rides, games, craft, face painting, pony rides, an animal farm, Cadbury chocolate sales, Cadbury bunny appearances, food vendors and a stage show headlining Hi-5.
Nine months of hard work came together on Good Friday 2019 on the lawns in front of the historic Werribee mansion. With stunning blue skies and a calm atmosphere it was the perfect day. The event design and entertainment succeeded in giving the event the magical feel we were after. However, by far the highlight of the day for attendees are the Cadbury Easter egg hunts. Getting over 3000 children through 50+ egg hunts over 4 hunt meadows, is a delicate balancing act, but it went off without an issue everyone coming away with a large bucket of eggs and a big smile.
The donation total for 2019 surpassed all expectations hitting a record $141,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, smashing previous records by over $25,000.
